Hey, hey....we're taking a break!

Due to a house that doesn't clean itself (and a dog who refuses to learn how!), warm weather on the way (please?!), and just life in general, the HappyGoVintage Etsy shop will be going on hiatus beginning April 1, 2013.  We hope to be back by June (with lots of great, new treasures!), but if there's something hanging out in the shop now that you just can't live without, hurry and make your purchase this week! Be sure to keep checking back here at the blog for a "shop's back" annoucement and hopfully some house progress pics between now and then!

Happy Easter!

New Pretties in the Shop!

Check it out...lots of pretty new stuff in the shop!
The most awesome brass letter holder (or paint chip holder) EVER!  Seriously, really don't want to part with this one!
A great 8-piece toast rack holder...although I'm sure you can find plenty of other uses for it...because, who eats 8 pieces of toast for breakfast?!

 Another lovely brass/glass geometric box!

Brass butterfly trivet..or pretty thing for your wall.
State plate from South Carolina...NC available too...and Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, New Mexico, Oregon, Tennessee, Hawaii, Alaska, Columbus (Ohio), Chicago, Mississippi...holler if you don't see the one you want in the shop...I may have it....who can resist a state plate?!

Happy Birthday to Me

Monday was my birthday...which is the perfect excuse to feature this pretty picture's a polaroid by my friend Courtney and available for purchase in various sized prints in her Etsy Shop, MakingPies!  She gifted me with one a few months back, but I have yet to put it in the fancy pants frame I found for it...maybe this weekend!  Then to hang it on the dining room wall.  Speaking of which...anyone have any brilliant tips for putting nails/screws into plaster walls?! Almost all of our walls are plaster and it is putting a huge damper on my cozifying!

Master Bath...halfway there...and farther than the rest!

I promise it's not quite that neon on real life! next on the list....moving the bamboo shades down to the identically sized windows in the dining room below and adding etched glass like privacy film to the lower half of the windows...if I can ever settle on the right stuff and not choke too much on the price! and i need to hang a few more pieces of art...and, oh, yeah, cleaning the shower would be a good thing to have on the list! and, yes, that is a Cath Kidston wallpaper sample for the room outside the bath. it must happen. it's so beautiful i could die.

p.s this shower curtain from my old apartment (handmade and hand dyed, copycatting the anthropologie shower curtains) is for if doesn't work in this bathroom as the shower isn't as wide as the tub at the apartment, but is still in great condition and would love a new home!
